Team England claimed overall Tri-Nations bragging rights over the weekend, securing the majority of titles at the 45th staging of this prestigious international darts championship.

Hosted at the renowned Penydarren Social Club in Merthyr Tydfil, and proudly sponsored by DartsWorld, the trio of Britain battled it out on the oche, with a wealth of talented throwers from England, Scotland, and Wales darts all vying for national supremacy.

The format was straightforward: three nations, four distinct categories – Men’s, Women’s, Boys, and Girls – all competing in a demanding round-robin structure, with the table-toppers crowned champions.

And, not for the first time in the history of this gathering, the English women dominated proceedings. On Friday evening, they recovered from a 2-0 deficit to overturn Wales and open their campaign with a statement victory.

Early wins for Rachel Kingdon and Rhian O’Sullivan gave the hosts early control, before reigning Lakeside champion Deta Hedman halted the momentum. Paige Pauling then restored parity, and with matches running out, Jo Locke and Laura Turner secured maximum points…
