Coates Claims MODUS Super Series Finale Place

Henry Coates secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series darts.

Coates, who entered Wednesday’s play on 16 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning four matches from five, as he recorded victories against Bradley Van der Velden, Giovanni Matthee, Aden Kirk and Pete Hughes, with his only defeat coming against Graham Usher, to end on 24 points from a possible 30 overall.

Elsewhere, Pete Hughes and Graham Usher will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Hughes ending on 20 points and Usher on 18 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Simon Whitlock, Colin Osborne and Lewis Gurney.

Aden Kirk, Bradley Van der Velden and Giovanni Matthee will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Kirk ending on 18 points, Van der Velden on 6 points and Matthee on 4 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Adam Smith-Neale, Richard McKee and Asa Cansdale.

The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
