Klaasen Claims MODUS Super Series Finale Spot

Jelle Klaasen secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Jelle, who entered Wednesday’s play on 12 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning four matches from five.

The former Lakeside World Champion, nicknamed The Cobra, recorded victories against William Borland, George Killington, Richie Howson and Arne Spee, with his only defeat coming against Danny Trueman, to end on 20 points from a possible 30 overall.

Elsewhere, Richie Howson and William Borland will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall on 18 points each. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Kurt Parry, Archie Self and James Buckby.

Danny Trueman, George Killington and Arne Spee will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Trueman ending on 16 points, Killington on 14 points and Spee on 4 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Peter Jacques, Lloyd Walker and Josh McCarthy.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
