Coulson's Perfection: 15-0 Record Sees Welshman Into MODUS Super Series Finale

Derek Coulson secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Welshman Coulson, who entered Wednesday’s play on 20 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning all five of his matches for a third day in a row.

The 57-year-old recorded victories against Ricardo Ham, Keanu Van Velzen, Jenson Walker, Radek Szaganski and Colin McCaughern, to end on a maximum 30 points and become the first player in Super Series history to go an entire Group A campaign unbeaten with 15 straight victories.

Elsewhere, Radek Szaganski and Jenson Walker will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Szaganski ending on 20 points and Walker on 18 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Matt Dennant, Daniel Ayres and James Beeton.

Ricardo Ham, Colin McCaughern and Keanu Van Velzen will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Ham ending on 14 points, McCaughern on 6 points and Van Velzen on 2 points.

The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Harry Ward, Steve Johnstone and Oliver Mitchell. The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
