Cross Continues Fine Form With Slovakian Win

Diamond Draws Competitions

Friday’s opening day at the Slovak Darts Open saw Rob Cross begin his bid for back-to-back ranking titles in Bratislava with a 6-3 success against Slovakia’s Juraj Holub, having prevailed at Players Championship 22 on Wednesday.

Day One of the year’s ninth European Tour event saw 16 opening round ties take place in the Slovakian capital, as player sought to stake their claim for a place at the World Matchplay next month.

Top seed Gian van Veen now awaits a revitalised Cross on Saturday evening, as the pair go head-to-head in a battle of the European Champions.

Poland’s premier player Krzysztof Ratajski will meet Dutch superstar Michael van Gerwen in another blockbuster tie, punishing a profligate display from Spanish number one Cristo Reyes to ease through.

The Slovak Darts Open continues from 1200 BST on Saturday, as the seeded stars – including Dutch duo Van Veen and Van Gerwen – enter the fray on Day Two.

Live coverage will be streamed on DAZN for viewers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with additional coverage available on CANAL+ SPORT 5 and via the CANAL+ streaming service in Poland.

Coverage will also be broadcast on PDCTV (excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and through bookmakers worldwide.
