Brian Raman and David Evans took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Rob Grundy in Saturday’s Finale at the Modus Super Series.
Brian, who entered Group C having finished 5th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Jake Neale, Aaron Turner, Jose Justicia and Callum Goffin, with his only defeat coming against Tom Lonsdale, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.

Elsewhere, Jake Neale also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Raman on leg difference, whilst Tom Lonsdale sits in 3rd on 6 points, Aaron Turner in 4th on 4 points, with Jose Justicia and Callum Goffin sitting joint bottom on 2 points each.
In Group B, David Evans took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Tomoya Goto, Jamie Owens and Keegan Brown, with his only defeat coming against Tommy Lishman, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Tommy Lishman also ended the night on 6 points each, but sits in 2nd behind Evans on leg difference, whilst Jamie Owens and Tomoya Goto sit 3rd and 4th on 4 points each, with Keegan Brown sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered four straight defeats.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Rob Grundy in Saturday’s Finale, with Raman and Evans taking the early lead thus far.
