Harry Ward and Jenson Walker took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Derek Coulson in Saturday’s Finale at the MODUS Super Series darts.
Harry, who last competed at the Super Series back in November last year, made a long-awaited return by taking the early lead in Group C after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Colin McCaughern, Keanu Van Velzen, Oliver Mitchell and Steven Johnstone, with his only defeat coming against Ricardo Ham, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.

Elsewhere, Steven Johnstone and Oliver Mitchell ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Colin McCaughern and Ricardo Ham sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with Keanu Van Velzen sitting bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Jenson Walker took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against James Beeton, Radek Szaganski and Matthew Dennant, with his only defeat coming against Daniel Ayres, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Daniel Ayres also ended the night on 6 points but sits in 2nd behind Walker on leg difference, whilst James Beeton sits in 3rd on 4 points, with Radek Szaganski and Matthew Dennant sitting joint bottom on 2 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Derek Coulson in Saturday’s Finale, with Ward and Walker taking the early lead thus far.
