Devon Petersen and Lee Evans took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Lewis Pride in Saturday’s Finale at the MODUS Super Series.
Petersen, who entered Group C having finished bottom of Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against John O’Shea, Kevin Painter, Meinte Hibma and Adrian Gray, with his only defeat coming against James Marcroft, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, James Marcroft and John O’Shea ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 6 points each, whilst Meinte Hibma and Kevin Painter sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with Adrian Gray sitting bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Lee Evans took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Ron Meulenkamp, Scott Taylor, Richie Burnett and Carl Wilson, to sit on a maximum 8 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Scott Taylor ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, whilst the remaining three players in Richie Burnett, Carl Wilson and Ron Meulenkamp sit 3rd, 4th and 5th on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Lewis Pride in Saturday’s Finale, with Petersen and Evans taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
