Adam Sevada extended his lead at the top of the 2026 Championship Darts Corporation rankings with victory in Indianapolis, as Brayden Hall and Fred Krueger celebrated maiden titles.
The year’s third weekend of CDC action saw Events 5-7 take place from July 17-19, as Sevada reaffirmed his status as the current premier player in North American darts.

The newly crowned North American Darts Champion dispatched Leonard Gates 7-3 in the Event Five showpiece, as two of the most prolific winners in CDC history went head-to-head in a heavyweight tussle.
Following comprehensive wins over Jimmie Jones and Brad Farley, Sevada withstood a valiant fightback from Canada’s Albert Anstey to maintain his progress, eventually closing out a 6-4 success.
The 40-year-old then recorded crushing 6-1 and 7-2 victories against Joey Lynaugh and Jeff Smith respectively, before averaging almost 96 to sweep aside Gates in their winner-takes-all clash.
Sevada’s bid for back-to-back titles was thwarted by Jason Watt in the Event Six semi-finals, although it was Canadian youngster Hall who claimed the spoils on Saturday.
Hall – fresh from making his televised debut at last month’s US Darts Masters – defeated Watt 7-4 to clinch his first CDC title, reeling off three straight legs to seal his breakthrough win.
This was preceded by a dramatic 7-6 success against former Lakeside runner-up Smith in the semi-finals, where he overturned a 6-5 deficit to preserve his title hopes.

The 23-year-old also accounted for Kiley Edmunds and fought back from 5-4 down in edging past John Liggett, having kicked off his campaign with emphatic wins over his compatriots Jack Robinson and Nick McCoy.
The third and final title of the weekend was captured by Krueger, who also made his big stage bow at Madison Square Garden just a matter of weeks ago.
The 45-year-old triumphed in an entertaining double-start event, courtesy of a 7-2 demolition of Gates in their Event Seven decider.
Krueger produced a sensational 12-dart leg to deny Canada’s number one Jim Long in round two, after opening his challenge with a hard-fought 5-3 win at the expense of Ricky Boudreaux.
The American followed up a routine 6-2 victory against Anstey with another deciding-leg success against Scott Estle, while he produced his best performance of the day to dump out top seed Sevada 7-4 in the semi-finals.
