Summer Season is well and truly upon us as we sprint into the second half of the darts year. Before the autumn and winter majors there are still many important tournaments to look forward to on the PDC calendar.
Once upon a time August was a rather quiet month in the darting world, especially if you were not in the top 16. Not any more!

Whether it’s the World Series for the chosen few, Pro Tour events that even Luke Littler is now planning on taking seriously or qualifier and affiliated events that can mean the world to those seeking Ally Pally qualification.

PDC Darts calendar and schedule for August 2026
New Zealand Darts Masters
On Aug. 14 & 15, the second-to-last World Series of Darts event of the year will take place in New Zealand.
Eight PDC representatives will clash with eight local qualifiers in the sixth year of the event.
The likes of Gian van Veen, Gerwyn Price and Stephen Bunting will play Australia and New Zealand’s best players, with Simon Whitlock highlighting the field of regional participants.
Australian Darts Masters
On Aug. 21 & 22, the last World Series of Darts event of the year will take place in Australia.
Eight PDC representatives will clash with eight local qualifiers in the sixth year of the event.

Players Championship 27 – 28
On Aug. 25 – 26, two Pro Tour floor events will take place in Leicester.
Luke Littler has not deigned to attend a PC event in 2026, if he wants take that Nuclear Slam seriously he will need to to make a run at qualifying for the PC Finals in November. Despite his fathers hopes for a holiday it may be Leicester in August for The Nuke.
Hungarian Darts Trophy
European Tour event from Aug. 28 – 30 will be the only ranking event to take place in Hungary this year.
It’s one of the last ET events before the cut-off for the World Grand Prix, so there will be a lot on the line in terms of players trying to qualify for that major.
Provisionally, Luke Humphries will be playing in this event, which would be the first ET event he plays in since ET3 earlier this year.
