Scott Taylor was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 11 at the MODUS Super Series, after defeating Ron Meulenkamp in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Taylor, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Devon Petersen and Lewis Pride to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against James Marcroft, and from there Taylor whitewashed his compatriot, 4-0, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Taylor came up against Ron Meulenkamp, who’d whitewashed Lewis Pride in the last four, and in a battle between two former PDC Tour Card Holders, it was Scott who came out on top with a 4-2 victory to seal his place in Champions Week as he looks to reclaim the crown he won back in Series Six.
