Asa Cansdale, Dylan Slevin, Llew Bevan, Jose De Sousa and Dom Taylor all secured their places in Saturday’s Finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series.
The five will join Andy Baetens, the winner of Group A earlier in tonights finale live on Pluto TV.
Cansdale, who entered Friday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Arne Spee, Mike Warburton, Killian Heffernan and Dylan Slevin, with his only defeat coming against Ciaran Forde, to end on 14 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Dylan Slevin also progressed through to Saturday’s Finale, after finishing 2ndoverall on 12 points, edging out Mike Warburton who also ended on 12 points, but missed out in 3rd due to leg difference, whilst Killian Heffernan and Ciaran Forde finished 4th and 5th on 10 points each, with Arne Spee finishing bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Llew Bevan topped the group overall after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Paul Krohne, Lewis Gurney and Dom Taylor, with his only defeat coming against Jose De Sousa, to end on 12 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Jose De Sousa and Dom Taylor also progressed through to Saturday’s Finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 10 points each, whilst Paul Krohne finished 4th on 6 points and Lewis Gurney bottom on 2 points.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Three with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
