Evetts Claims Maiden MODUS Super Series Weekly Win

Play The Pro Darts Scorer

Ted Evetts finally has his name on a MODUS Super Series darts weekly league win. On a tense Saturday night at the Live Lounge in Portsmouth, the former PDC World Youth Champion produced a clinical, undefeated Finals Night to claim the Week Four title of Series 15 and book his place at Champions Week.

Evetts, long regarded as one of the most talented players on the circuit yet without a weekly Super Series crown, arrived in the six-man finale as one of three qualifiers from Group B.

He was joined by group winner Paul Hogan, the ever-present Steve Beaton, Group C standouts James Richardson and Matty Dennant, and Group A winner John Henderson.

What followed was a masterclass in composure. Evetts topped his Finals Night group with successive victories, then dismantled Dennant in the semi-finals to set up a title decider against Beaton.

The Bronzed Adonis had himself navigated a difficult path, eliminating Henderson and surviving a late fightback from Hogan, but he could not contain the sharper Evetts in the final.

The result was never in serious doubt once Evetts found his rhythm. “Super Ted” converted his opportunities cleanly, kept the scoring high, and refused to allow the more experienced Beaton any sustained momentum. When the last double went in, the Live Lounge erupted.

A first weekly title. A Champions Week berth. And the monkey finally off Suoer Ted’s back.

Earlier in the week the groups had already delivered their own drama. James Richardson was ruthless in Group C, completing a perfect sweep to top the standings while his son Joshua fell just short on leg difference, with Dennant claiming the second qualification spot.

Hogan led Group B, with Beaton and Evetts progressing, while Henderson had secured Group A progression midweek.

For Evetts the victory carries extra weight. Consistent performers on the Super Series stage have sometimes waited very long periods for their breakthrough night.

On Saturday Evets ended made sure he would wait no longer. The Midlands thrower will now head into Champions Week as a genuine threat, having shown the kind of form that can trouble any field.

Week Four is done. The Super Series rolls on. But for one night at least, the Live Lounge belonged to Super Ted.

Daily MSS play is streamed on Pluto TV with highlights and other coverage on the MODUS Super Series YouTube channel, or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
