The 2026 PDC ProTour season rolls on this Tuesday as Players Championship 27 is underway in Leicester.
The Mattioli Arena is playing host to a Players Championship double-header across August 25-26, with the race to qualify for the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix and Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals gathering pace.
A 128-player field – made up of PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members – is battling for the £15,000 top prize.
World number one Luke Littler is making his first Players Championship appearance of 2026 and has reached the last 16 after three wins including a hardbfought ein over fellow teenager Archie Self.
Dutchman Wessel Nijman, the form horse of 2026 away from the cameras has also reached the same stage confortably.
