Gemma Hayter’s year just keeps getting better and better. Not content with claiming her first WDF titles earlier in 2026 she travelled to Las Vegas and returned with a first ’major’ title.

The storied crown of Women’s World Master has been claimed by just about every legendary name in female darts and to add her name to the iconic honour roll is a marvelous achievement. Our warmest congratulations to her.
Gemma then switched to another iconic stage as she made a second appearance at the Women’s World Matchplay at the Winter Garden’s in Blackpool.
Poland’s Darts Bolt Explodes Into Life Again
Meanwhile, back on mainland Europe, Sebastian Bialecki seemed like he was having a steadier year than 2025 where he swung from lowest lows to highest highs. The Bolt’s 2026 was steady and successful in a more understated way. The Polish star had been collecting strong but not sensational results until last week when he blitzed through the Players Championship field in Hildesheim to claim another PDC ranking title, exactly a year after bagging his first one!

“I don’t know what I can say. It’s an unbelievable feeling,” reflected Bialecki, who currently occupies eighth spot on the Players Championship rankings.
“Before this tournament, I saw on my Facebook memories that it was the day I won my first one [title] a year ago.
“Maybe this tournament was a little bit similar, because I also won the first match from 3-5 down. I’m over the moon now.”
Bialecki’s second ProTour title puts him firmly in contention for a place in the upcoming World Grand Prix, which takes place in Leicester from September 28-October 4.
