In 2025, the PDC changes the rules around qualifying for the World Series of Darts Finals, including the the number of qualifiers from the World Series of Darts Order of Merit from 20 to 22, and reducing the number of Tour Card Holder Qualifiers from eight to six. They have done it again in 2026, meaning there will now be 24 qualifiers from the Order of Merit, and four from the Tour Card Qualifier, to be joined by the top four highest ranked player not qualified.
This means there will be a lot more regional players qualifying for Amsterdam next month, having not even needed to win a game in some cases!
All 13 of the PDC Representatives in 2026 have qualified for the Finals, including the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler and Gerwyn Price. This means room for 11 of the regional qualifiers to book their flights to the Netherlands.

Three of these 11 are Tour Card Holders, as a win secured their spot in the Finals months ago, with the first tie breaker in the rankings being PDC Order of Merit. This includes Canada’s Jim Long, who beat Josh Rock in New York, as well as Viktor Tingström, who beat Stephen Bunting in Denmark, and Adam Leek, who beat Ross Smith in Auckland last weekend. All three of these will be making their World Series of Darts Finals debut in four weeks’ time.
Three of the non-Tour Card Holders managed to secure wins themselves too, with the first coming back in January when Man Lok Leung got the better of Danny Noppert in Saudi Arabia, booking his debut at the Tour Finals. Raymond Smith followed suit in Auckland, beating Stephen Bunting in the first round, while Brody Klinge beat three PDC stars in Wollongong over the weekend. Ray Smith will be returning to the Tour Finals for the first time since 2018, while Klinge will be making his PDC major debut.
The final five spots went to the players who picked up the most legs out of everyone who got two invites over the season, this included another two of the oceanic representatives. Ben Robb picked up seven legs over his two games, doing enough to secure his debut at the World Series Finals, while Simon Whitlock’s six legs has insured he will return to for an eleventh time in twelve years.

The final three spots will be filled by Asian Tour representatives from January, headlined by Ally Pally cult hero Motomu Sakai, who also managed to pick up six legs over his two matches. Filipino duo Lourence Ilagan and Alexis Toylo claim the final two spots, with five and four legs won respectively. Toylo claimed the final spot thanks to his higher combined average then Ryusei Azemoto, who also managed to pick up four legs. It’ll be a debut at the World Series Finals for all three.
They will be joined by the four highest ranked unqualified players from the PDC Order of Merit, which is Gary Anderson, Ryan Searle, Wessel Nijman and Chris Dobey. Should Anderson choose to reject the invite, Jermaine Wattimena in the next in line.
The Tour Card Holder Qualifier will take place on Monday 24th August, while the seeds for the Finals will be confirmed shortly after the Australian Darts Masters concludes on Saturday.
