ALTHOUGH David Evans took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, many fans enjoyed the return of two popular international figures as Week Seven of Series 15 commenced at MODUS Super Series darts.
Evans, who last competed at the Super Series back in June, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four matches from five, as he recorded victories against Benito Van de Pas, Kai Fan Leung, Henry Cooper and Panagiotis Chrysospathis, with his only defeat coming against Richie Howson, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Popular Hong Konger Kai Fan Leung also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Evans on leg difference, after seeming to fall out of the limelight in recent times.

Fat Beaty’s efforts to get back to his best seemed to stall after some initial success on his WDF tour efforts in 2023 and 24. He has even been away from the Super Series circa eighteen months.
World Senior Darts Champion of Champions Richie Howson sits in 3rd on 6 points, after a day where he defeated group leader Evans but lost out to both Leung and Group A’s second international comeback campaigner Benito Van de Pas.
Van de Pas, a.k.a Big Ben, sits in 4th on 4 points, he also had a mixed day with a 4-0 drubbing of Howson being the highpoint and defeat to Panagiotis Chrysospathis registering at the other end of the scale.
Henry Cooper and Chrysospathis sitting 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Evans leading the way thus far.
