James Buckby took the title at the ADC Winmau Championship North Friday Night Tour Warm-Up darts tournament last night at Middlebeck Social Club in Middlesbrough.
The traditional knockout event, staged as a money-in money-out curtain-raiser ahead of this weekend’s Championship North action at Middlesbrough Sports Village, saw Buckby average 87.12 overall (92.45 first nine) to lift the pot.

The warm-up gave players a final chance to tune up before Events 9–12 get underway on Saturday and Sunday as the Winmau Championship (ADC and WADC) Tour North season comes to a head this weekend in Middlesborough, with events 9 to 12 closing out the campaign and settling the remaining qualification places on the North circuit.
There’s plenty riding on the outcome, as the top eight players on the North tables at the end of the weekend will book their place at the Winmau Championship Global Final, held at the MODUS Live Lounge in Portsmouth with a £10,000 prize fund on offer.
