Finals Night of the MODUS Super Series (Week Five) on Saturday evening produced a classic Portsmouth climax of short-format drama, with experience ultimately prevailing. Neil Duff claimed another weekly crown, with an emphatic final win, after a battle royal between six in form arrowsmiths who had qualified during a highly interesting and entertaining week’s darts.
The six qualifiers (Daniel Klose, Danny Goddard, Justin Smith, Neil Duff, Dmitrii Rogov, Martyn Turner) contested the usual split group stage that fed into the semi-finals. Justin Smith made an early statement, causing an upset in the opening match of the night. With a victory over Group A champion Daniel Klose for a semi-final place the Welshman put one foot into the semi finals.

Impressive debutant Danny Goddard can consider himself a little unlucky having been eliminated after two superb groups matched that ended in narrow defeat to Duff and Turner. His Group stage performance should surely mean it is not the last we see of him.
Dmitrii Rogov continued his strong debut week by reaching the semi-finals for the first time. Neil Duff also advanced, keeping alive his bid for a record-extending eighth weekly title.

The final four set up intriguing ties. Rogov progressed to his first Super Series final, while Duff reached yet another decider. Martyn Turner produced some of the night’s best moments (including a 161 checkout) but ultimately fell short in the final four.
Duff claimed title number eight — breaking his own record for most MODUS Super Series weekly wins — with a 4-1 win in the decider. The former Lakeside champion collected the winners cheque and secured another place in Series 15 Champions Week.
