Noa-Lynn Van Leuven stuck a perfect leg in Portsmouth yesterday but it was not enough to earn the Dutch thrower a place in saturday’s finale as Daniel Klose secured his place in Saturday’s Finale on Wednesday.
The German claimed the place after winning three of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series. Yet it was Noa-Lynne who grabbed most of the headlines for the moment of perfection struck against Klose in the 5th leg of their Wednesday encounter.
Klose, who entered Wednesday’s play on 14 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning three of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Jordan Brooks, Noa-Lynn Van Leuven and Andy Hamilton, with his two defeats coming against Neil Duff and Ziggy Schenk, to end on 20 points from a possible 30 overall.

Elsewhere, Neil Duff and Ziggy Schenk will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, with Duff ending on 20 points and narrowly missing out on top spot due to leg difference, whilst Schenk ended on 18 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Richard McKee, Martyn Turner and Dmitrii Rogov.
Andy Hamilton, Jordan Brooks and Noa-Lynn Van Leuven will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Hamilton ending on 14 points, Brooks on 10 points and Van Leuven on 8 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Justin Smith, Danny Goddard and Mark Layton.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
