Coulson Defends as Self Returns for Champions Week

Archie Self was three legs down in the Week 12 final with the last Champions Week place on the line. He then hit an 88 finish in the decider to book his seat at the table.

That 4-3 win over Joe Hunt completes the line-up for the climax of MODUS Super Series 15. All twelve weekly winners are in Portsmouth from Monday, with £20,000 and the Series 15 crown on the line.

Group A

Archie Self, Modus Super Series 15 week 12

Archie Self makes it two Champions Weeks in a row at 16 years old. “The Archer” took Group A earlier in the week by the barest of margins on leg difference over Jack Aldridge, then beat Ricardo Ulrich and Graham Usher 4-1 on Finals Night before two 180s and a 111 checkout dispatched Aldridge in the semi-finals.

He won his week in May to reach last Series’ Saturday finale, and arrives on the back of a first senior WDF title at the England Masters earlier this month.

Derek Coulson is the man to catch. The 58-year-old Welshman won Series 14 in July, beating Ashley Coleman 4-1 in the final to end a long wait for a Champions Week title. He then took Week 6 of this series, his seventh weekly title, beating Jamai van den Herik 4-2 in the final.

In doing so, he became the first player since Luke Littler to reach a Champions Week after winning a series title.

Andy Baetens has had a series to remember. The Belgian topped Group A in Week 3 with a commanding points tally, including a 109 average, then held his nerve in a last-leg decider against Llew Bevan for a first weekly title.

Darren Beveridge was first through. “Ice Cold” took Week 1 with a 4-0 win over James Buckby in the final, having lost to the same man in the group stages.

David Davies is no stranger to this stage. He reached the Champions Week finale in December 2024 and was in the field again in April 2025. He took Week 11 by winning three straight 4-3 matches on Finals Night, against Ashley Coleman, Ashton Brown and finally Jenson Walker.

Danny Ayres joined Week 10 Group C on Thursday, and he made it count. He won all ten of his group matches across two days, a perfect 20 points from 20, then dispatched Lee Cocks, Steve Kennon and Conor Heneghan to take the title.

Group B

Group B brings together Ted Evetts, Scott Robertson and Scott Campbell.

Evetts, “Super Ted”, is the former PDC World Youth Champion and took Week 4 for his first weekly title. He had won only half of his Group B matches, but then went unbeaten on Finals Night, beating Paul Hogan and James Richardson in the groups. Matthew Dennant 4-0 in the semi-finals and Steve Beaton in the final.

Robertson is back for the second series running. The 48-year-old Scot topped Group A in Week 8 with 13 wins from 15 matches, beat Lewis Cook and Jamie Owens on Finals Night, then whitewashed Johnny Haines in the final. He arrives hot from beating Pat Scurfield in the Riga Open final last weekend.

Campbell, another Scot, won Week 2 the hard way. He finished only third in Group B, edged Berry van Peer in a last-leg decider on Finals Night, beating Jack Drayton 4-3 in the semi-finals and then Lee Evans 4-2 in the final.

Group C

Group C holds Michael Wiles, Neil Duff and Benito van de Pas.

Wiles qualified on his MSS debut by the ADC route. He finished second in Group A in Week 9 on 24 points after a perfect five from five on the Tuesday. He beat Jamie Atkins 4-0 in the semi-finals and Aden Kirk 4-2 in the final. He arrives fresh from the Vault National Finals at Bradmoor Farm, where he lost 6-4 to eventual champion Lewis Gurney in the Semi-Finals.

Duff is the most successful player in MSS history. In Week 5 he extended his own record to eight weekly titles, beating Dimitrii Rogov 4-1 in the final. And he also won Double Trouble Week in August.

Van de Pas, “Big Ben”, completes the field. The 33-year-old Dutchman was once tipped as one of the Netherlands’ brightest prospects. He has won three PDC Players Championship events and reached back-to-back World Grand Prix quarter-finals, but no longer holds a Tour Card following a hiatus.

He came through Week 7 with a perfect Friday in Group C, then beat Richie Howson, Henry Cooper and Sam Spivey on Finals Night before a last-leg final rematch with Cooper.

Group A gets under way on Monday, with only the group winner going straight to Saturday’s finale. The remaining places are decided in the groups later in the week, and the finale takes place on Halloween.

Play will commence from 9:30am, live and free on Pluto TV from 9.30 AM (BST) with highlights and other coverage on the MODUS Super Series YouTube channel, or via various bookmakers websites worldwide.
