Red Dragon Darts

Jonny Clayton continued his search for a second Euro Tour of the year after beating Irish youngster Keane Barry 6-3 in the Second Round of the 2023 Belgian Darts Open.

Former UK Open champion Danny Noppert defeated Ted Evetts 6-4 in the afternoon session at the Oktoberhallen, including 3 180s and a 50% checkout rate. Super Ted broke the Dutchman’s throw in the 9th leg with a 100 checkout to go within one of a level game, but The Freeze closed out with a break of his own after hitting double 8 with his first dart in hand.

The Winmau player goes through to Round 3 of the Belgian Darts Open, facing Nathan Aspinall who missed just 2 darts at double in beating Martijn Kleermaker 6-1.

Elsewhere Josh Rock missed Double 12 for a 9-dart leg but included a 107.11 average and 7 180s in beating Masters Champion Chris Dobey 6-2. Rocky will face defending champion Dave Chisnall on Sunday, after last weeks Euro Tour winner defeated Ricky Evans 6-2 earlier in the night.
