ADC Women’s Championship Tour Returns

Red Dragon Darts

After a successful first outing of the Women’s Championship last year for the Amateur Darts Circuit, the concept returns for 2024 with more competitions and more prize money to be won.

Deta Hedman picked up the Women’s Championship Tour Finals competition at the back end of last year, defeating Samantha Kirton 4-0 in the Final at the Live Lounge in Portsmouth.

2024 has already seen the launch of the separate WADC in order to concentrate on improving the offer to women players. Now the Tour is offering even more opportunity.

The 2 Finalists along with a further 6 qualifiers earnt the right to play on the MODUS Super Series stage, after playing a total 12 tournaments through the year in Bristol, Middlesborough and Bridlington.

The Winmau Women’s Championship Tour has a further 4 tournaments for 2024, with the first 8 competitions taking place at the Eston Sports Academy in Middlesborough.

Their will be a £28,000 prize fund for the Women’s Championship Tour, with the prize money for Finals Day in November matching the money on offer in the 2024 Winmau Championship Tour.

£500 will be available to the winner of each Women’s Championship Tour Event through the year, with the structure of qualifying for Finals Day the same concept as last year.

The Top 8 players across all 16 Events will travel to Portsmouth and compete live at the MODUS Super Series, on YouTube via the Amateur Darts Circuit’s account.

The Women’s Championship Tour was a huge success as many players looking to improve, gave themselves the opportunity to get crucial match practise in with the use of top range equipment provided by Winmau in a competitive environment.

Kim Holden topped the Women’s Championship Tour Order of Merit last year, with recent World Seniors Semi Finalist Lisa Ashton and Rebecca Brouse also enjoying strong campaigns in 2023.

The opening competitions will begin at the end of March in Middlesborough, with the remaining 8 Events set to take place at Bradmoor Farm in Aylesbury later in the year.

Who will succeed on the Women’s Championship Tour 2024, and follow on from Deta Hedman’s success last year in Portsmouth?
