Mike Warburton took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week Two of Series Nine commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Warburton, who last appeared at the Super Series back in July, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, with the Welshman winning four matches from five to top the group despite a three-way points tie.
‘Warby‘ recorded victories against Justin Smith, Dennis Van der Ende, Darren Barton and Ross Montgomery, with his only defeat coming against Andreas Harrysson, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Andreas Harrysson and Justin Smith also ended the day on 8 points each, but sit 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Warburton due to legs won across the day, whilst the remaining three players in Van der Ende, Montgomery and Barton sit 4th, 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Warburton leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
