ADC Global Championship: Peterson Heads Final Five

Devon Petersen, Shane Hayward, Marvin Van Velzen, Charlie Martin and Gary Stone all secured their places in Saturday’s Finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the ADC Global Championship, to join Adam Mould, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.

Petersen, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Ivan Springborg Poulsen, Shane Hayward, James Bailey, Donny Scheurwater and James Welding, to end on 18 points from a possible 20 overall.

Elsewhere, Shane Hayward also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd overall on 12 points, whilst three players in James Welding, Ivan Springborg Poulsen and James Bailey ended 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th respectively on 8 points each, with Donny Scheurwater finishing bottom on 6 points.

In Group B, Marvin Van Velzen topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against John Desreumaux, Gary Stone, Charlie Martin and Joe Croft, to end on a maximum 16 points from a possible 16.

Elsewhere, Charlie Martin and Gary Stone also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall on 8 points each, whilst Joe Croft finished 4^th on 6 points and John Desreumaux bottom on 2 points.

The ADC Global Championship continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Two with the six players battling it out for the £5,000 top prize. Play will commence from 7:30pm GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
