Modus Super Series Week Three Day Three
Conan Whitehead dramatically secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday.
The Barbarian claimed three of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was also confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series (10).
Whitehead, who entered Wednesday’s play on 12 points from the opening two days of Group
A, topped the group overall after winning three matches from five, as he recorded victories against Alexander Masek, Mike Warburton and Lee Cocks, with his two defeats coming against Ronan McDonagh and Jeremy Fagg, to end on 18 points from a possible 30 overall.
Elsewhere, Lee Cocks and Ronan McDonagh will both compete in Group B, after the pair
finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 18 points each and narrowly missing out on an automatic spot into Saturday’s finale due to leg difference. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Carl Sneyd, Charlie Large and Gary Mawson.
Mike Warburton, Alexander Masek and Jeremy Fagg will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th, and 6th respectively overall, with Warburton and Masek ending on 14 points each and Fagg on 8 points.
The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Jamie Kelling,
Niall Culleton and Sam Spivey.
The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTubechannel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
