JDC’s International Double

Play the Pro Darts Scorer

The Junior Darts Corporation and Winmau, the UK darts manufacturer, recently announced its new partnership with JDC China as part of its global drive to grow the sport through innovation, partnerships, and grassroots investment.

The long standing pairing will expand its international footprint as the news marks a significant step in growing youth participation across Asia.

This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to inspiring the next generation of players and bringing competitive darts to new audiences around the world. Together with JDC China, Winmau aims to invest in the sport’s future through structured development pathways, elite-level events, and greater access for young talent in emerging regions.

In other exciting Junior Darts Corporation news, the organisation is delighted to confirm a new three-year deal to keep its flagship end-of-year World Championship event in Gibraltar through to 2027. The Rock has become synonymous with junior darts excellence, serving as the vibrant home of the JDC’s annual week-long darting festival.

In 2024, this included standout tournaments such as the Winmau Junior Darts Open, Luke Littler Legacy Open, DartAsylum Junior World Cup of Darts, and the Holiday Inn Express Junior World Darts Finals.

JDC Chairman Steve Brown hailed Gibraltar as the perfect fit for the championship, having first hosted the event in 2019:

“Gibraltar has been fantastic for the JDC, and we’d like to think we’ve been good for Gibraltar too. It’s a safe environment, the kids look forward to it, and it’s the darts highlight of the year for most players and their families. Gibraltar has become the Mecca of junior darts – and we’re really looking forward to putting on more great events there over the next three years.”

JDC CEO Darren Barson echoed that sentiment:

“The impact this event has on the global darting landscape is massive, and it needs a venue and community that truly embrace it. Gibraltar does just that – and is rightly seen as the home of the biggest junior darts event on the planet.”

Gibraltar’s Minister for Sport, the Hon. Leslie Bruzon, added:

“This event is a key highlight in our calendar, drawing youth players from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and even Mongolia. It’s a springboard for local talents like Nico Bado, and a place where dreams come alive-just ask Luke Littler. We’re excited to welcome the JDC back and look forward to another three years of elite junior darts.”

The 2025 edition will run from 24th to 28th November and will feature new official partners, VisitGibraltar.GI and DJD Darts Jerseys. More information will be released in the coming months at JuniorDarts.com.
