Richard McKee was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 10 at the MODUS Super Series, after defeating Ryan Branley in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
McKee, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Mike Gillet and Ryan Branley to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Oliver King, and from there, McKee defeated his English opponent, 4-1, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, McKee came up against Ryan Branley for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Boris Krcmar in the last four, and once again the Northern Irishman got the better of the teenage star, as McKee sealed a 4-2 victory to book his place in Champions Week for the first time as well as collecting the first prize.
The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 11, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Former Lakeside Champion Steve Beaton.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
