Dave Pallett, Lee Evans, Jamie Atkins, Jurjen Van der Velde and Jim McEwan all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Steve Beaton, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Pallett, who entered Friday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Adam Smith-Neale, Richie Edwards, Jonny Barnes and Ricardo Ham, with his only defeat coming against Lee Evans, to end on 18 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Lee Evans also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Adam Smith-Neale and Ricardo Ham finished 3rd and 4th respectively on 12 points each, with Jonny Barnes and Richie Edwards finishing 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
In Group B, Jamie Atkins topped the group overall after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Jenson Walker, Chris Quantock and Jurjen Van der Velde, with his only defeat coming against Jim McEwan, to end on 14 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Jurjen Van der Velde and Jim McEwan also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Van der Velde ending on 10 points and McEwan on 8 points, whilst Jenson Walker finished 4th on 6 points and Chris Quantock bottom on 2 points.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 11 with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
