Super Series Field Gain on Grimes

Damien Grimes maintained his position at the top of the table on Tuesday, despite only winning two of his five matches on Day Two as he looks to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Grimes, who entered Tuesday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group A, won two matches from five to remain at the top of the table, as he recorded victories against Steve West and Jamie Kelling.

The field gained ground on the debutant with his three defeats coming against Johan Engstrom, Jim McEwan and Jimmy Van Schie, and he is now only 2 points ahead of the ‘massed ranks’ chasing him down as he sits on 12 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Elsewhere, four players in Kelling, Van Schie, Engstrom and West ended the day 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th respectively on 10 points each and are the closest competitors to Grimes, whilst Series Five Champion Jim McEwan sits bottom on 8 points.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Grimes leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups for Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.

Play will begin at 9:30am BST on Wednesday and will be streamed live on The MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
