ADC Global Championship: Martin Marches On As Smith Falls Early

Robbie Martin topped Group Five of Stage One on Friday, after winning five of his six matches to progress through to the Stage Two at the ADC Global Championship, alongside Wesley Van Trijp, Chas Barstow and Jack Tweddell, with the International Tournament continuing at the Modus Live Lounge.

Thursday saw the ADC Global Championship continue with Group Four taking place at Live Lounge, as Englishman Stuart Dutton topped the group to seal his place in Stage Two alongside English duo Carl Wilson and Jimmy Bristow as well as Australia’s Adam Leek, who finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively overall.

Group Five saw Robbie Martin top the group overall after winning five of his six matches, as he recorded victories against Wesley Van Trijp, Chas Barstow, Stefano Bozicek, Jeff Smith and Michael Huntley, with his only defeat coming against Jack Tweddell, to end on 10 points from a possible 12 overall.

Elsewhere, Wesley Van Trijp, Chas Barstow and Jack Tweddell also progressed through to Stage Two, after the trio finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively overall, with Van Trijp ending on 8 points, whilst Barstow and Tweddell ended on 6 points each.

Michael Huntley, Jeff Smith and Stefano Bozicek all missed out after finishing 5th, 6th and 7th overall, with Huntley and Smith ending on 6 points each and both missing out due to leg difference, whilst Bozicek ended on 0 points having suffered six straight defeats.

The ADC Global Championship continues on Saturday with Group Six taking place which will see a further four players secure their spots into Stage Two. The field will include The African Warrior Devon Petersen.

The ADC Global Championship format has been designed to reward consistency, elite-level performance and the ability to handle pressure across multiple stages of competition.

Each phase places a different demand on the players, ensuring that the eventual champion is someone who has proven themselves across a variety of match conditions.’

The International Tournament will be split across three separate stages.

Stage One will take place across eight days between December 1st to December 8th 2025 with 56 players competing in eight groups of seven which would see the top four players in each group progress to Stage Two.
