Kirsi Viinikainen and Lisa Ashton took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Rhian O’Sullivan in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Viinikainen, who entered Group C having finished 4th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after winning three of her five matches, as she recorded victories against Priscilla Steenbergen, Sophie McKinlay and Robyn Byrne, with her two defeats coming against Lorraine Hyde and Vicky Pruim, to sit on 6 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Lorraine Hyde, Vicky Pruim and Priscilla Steenbergen all ended the day on 6 points each, but sit 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively behind Viinikainen on leg difference, whilst Sophie McKinlay sits in 5th on 4 points and Vicky Pruim bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Lisa Ashton took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Thursday Evening, as she recorded victories against Laura Turner, Lorraine Winstanley, Fallon Sherrock and Gemma Hayter, to sit on a maximum 8 points from a possible 8 thus far.

Elsewhere, Fallon Sherrock ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, Lorraine Winstanley in 3rd on 4 points, Gemma Hayter in 4th on 2 points and Laura Turner bottom on 0 points having suffered four defeats from four.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Rhian O’Sullivan in Saturday’s finale, with Viinikainen and Ashton taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT.
