The Sheldon and District Winter League had the preliminary round of their Sheldon Shield on their fixture card in which there were just three games played. RAFA Arrows chalked up the biggest win of the round, a 6-1 success at Hunters Moon while the other two games finished with close 4-3 results going in favour of Moseley Rugby Club and CBMC-A, who in turn took out Kingshurst Labour Club and Shirley Misfits.
Being as it was cup week and not all of the teams were involved, it was an opportunity to play some rearranged fixtures, there were two played in the premier league, Langley Arrows wining 6-3 at home against Highwood to replace them at the top of the table with the same sixteen points but with a superior average, although Highwood who are now second, have played one game fewer than the new leaders. In the other game played Smithswood Social Club lost 5-4 at home to Mackadow Sports and Social Club.
The one division one game had no bearing on the league positins with Station Inn losing 8-1 at home to Sheldon Marlborough Ridge.
Three division two games were played in which Raven Flights won 7-2 at Castle Bromwich Spitfires, divisional leaders Langley Pints won 6-3 at home against Digby and Maggies won their game at Hollywood Social Club 5-4.

Week three in the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League produced a new leader, former leader Clive Austin began the night with a 2-1 win over Logan Swords and then beat John Yates by the same margin but it was not enough to maintain pole position as Ryan Cain beat Tony Pedley and Andrew Richmond 3-0 to give him a total of fourteen points, two more than second placed Austin. Fourteen year old Sophie Cain continues her promising start to the season making it five wins from five games with her 3-0 win over Matt Richmond and 2-1 success against Adam Rogers to take her up into third place with twelve points, just two behind the leader. In her 3-0 win over Stephen Smith, Roxy Bennett recorded a 160 break.

Results from game eleven in the Sutton and District League had no effect on the top eight places in division one with leaders Highcroft Hotdogs adding a 6-3 home win over Walmley CSC Flights to make it eleven straight wins and giving them a four point’s lead on second and third placed Nomads @ Hollyfields and Bishop Vesey who in turn accounted for Old Oscott Arrows (6-3) and Drakes Drum (8-1). Fourth and fifth placed Old Horns Lions and Erdington Arrows are both on fourteen points, eight off the top of the table.
Division one provided all of the individual achievements this week with maximums from Martin Partridge (Bishop Vesey), Jack Cox (Rosey Mac’s) and M.Maher (Nomads @ Hollyfields) and there were 160 breaks for Chris Sammons (Bishop Vesey) and Tim Vickers (St Thomas Lions).

In division two, Rise Club are the only undefeated team, riding high at the top of the table with a perfect twenty-two points from their eleven games, the latest of which saw them win 5-4 at home against Hollyfields. Second placed Plough and Arrows lost for the second time in eleven games when they went down 5-4 at Great Barr Social, third placed Pint Pot Flights reducing the gap on Plough and Arrows to just two points with their 5-4 win at Sutton Sharks. Fourth, fifth and sixth placed Hollyfields, Great Barr Social and Deer’s Leap are all on the same sixteen points as Pint Pot Flights.

Although Northfield Darts Club had a bye in division one of the South West Birmingham Clubs League, they remain top of the table with eight points from five games. Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’ lost second place when they were held to a 4-4 draw at Quarry Lane Club and taking over in the number two spot is Stirchley United who had a 6-2 home win over Perfection to put them on the same seven points as Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’ but with an average lead plus a game in hand on them, they also have a game in hand on the leaders.
Despite losing 5-3 at Northfield Conservative Club ‘A’, West Heath CEM hold on to pole position in division two with eight points, but they only have a slender one leg of average lead on second placed Bartley Green FC. Third and fourth placed Kings Norton Arrows and E57 are both on seven points, just one off the top of the table.

Old Liberal Club consolidated their pole position in the Netherton Thursday Night 501 League by handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their visiting team Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘B’ to make it four wins in four games. Second and third placed Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ and British Oak have also won their opening four games and in turn won 7-2 at Hawthorns and Netherton Sports and Social Club. The Sedgley and Gornal Tuesday Night League are two games into the second half of their season and Quarry Bank liberal Club lead the way with forty points from their twenty-one games. Tividale Sports extended their undefeated run in the John Edwards Thursday Night League to ten games when they won 7-2 at home against Smethwick Cricket Club. Hot on the heels of the leaders are second and third placed Whiteheath Tavern and Wonder, Whiteheath handing out a 9-0 whitewash to their visitors Oldbury British Legion and Wonder winning their home game with Brandhall Labour Club 8-1. In the Gilbert’s Bar Monday Night Singles League, Simon Pritchard and Michele Pritchard in turn lead the division one and division two tabels. Simon’s latest fixture saw him win 7-1 against Artur Lubkowski to put him on thirty-five points which gives him a lead of two over second placed, and reigning champion Scott Baker who beat Dave Rich 5-3.
In the second division, Michele was held to a 4-4 draw by Dean Showell, but despite that her thirty-two points are five more than second and third placed Charlie Baker and Wayne Barratt.

Week twenty-three in the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League and the results for the week had no effeect on the top five places in the singles league, Junction ‘B’ holding on to the number one spot with forty-six points after winning the local derby with their ‘A’ side 6-1. Dog and Partridge ‘B’ are second, four points short of the leaders after they also won 6-1 at home against Gilbert’s Bar ‘B’.
As in the singles league, there is no change in the top five places in the doubles league with Golden Lion ‘A’ adding a 3-0 home win over Dog and Partridge ‘A’ to their tally to keep them top of the table with thirty-eight points, two more than second placed New Gate Inn who also won 3-0 at home against Wheatsheaf.
