Scott Mitchell and James Buckby took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Adam Mould in Saturday’s finale at the MODUS Super Series darts.
Scott, who entered Group C having finished 4th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Ciaran Forde, Kevin Painter, Patrick Dekker and Colin McCaughern, with his only defeat coming against Martin Thomas, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Ciaran Forde and Patrick Dekker ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Colin McCaughern and Martin Thomas sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with Kevin Painter sitting bottom on 2 points.

In Group B, James Buckby took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Dylan Slevin, Andy Hamilton and Fallon Sherrock, with his only defeat coming against Neil Duff, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Neil Duff also ended the night on 6 points, but sits in 2nd behind Buckby due to legs won across four matches played, whilst Dylan Slevin and Andy Hamilton sit 3rd and 4th on 4 points each, with Fallon Sherrock sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered four straight defeats.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Adam Mould in Saturday’s finale, with Mitchell and Buckby taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT.
