Entries for the upcoming PDC ProTour double-header in Milton Keynes have been confirmed, and, as anticipated, the list features a number of high-profile absentees.
When the action gets underway on Monday 27th April at Arena MK, half of the current Premier League Darts contingent will be conspicuous by their absence.

Unsurprisingly, Luke Littler is once again swerving the trip to Buckinghamshire. The reigning World Champion has yet to grace the floor circuit this season, and that particular statistic shows no immediate signs of changing. Also opting to withdraw are the elite Welsh duo of Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price, while decorated Dutchman Michael van Gerwen also joins that list of non-runners.
Nathan Aspinall is another notable absentee. ‘The Asp’ skipped the previous outing in Wigan, as well as the earlier gathering at Robin Park, and this latest withdrawal appears more a matter of scheduling logistics than any lingering aversion to Lancashire. Completing the list of confirmed absentees are Pero Ljubic and Pascal Rupprecht.

For Ljubic, the decision raises a few eyebrows, particularly given his challenging start to the season, having exited in the opening round of each of his first six events before subsequently stepping away from competition altogether. Rupprecht, meanwhile, has endured a similarly inconsistent return to ProTour action, registering just two match wins across the half-dozen events he has contested.
Their absence inevitably paves the way for a cohort of Challenge Tour hopefuls, all eager to seize their opportunity on the main stage. Among those benefitting is a trio who have been ever-present throughout the campaign, courtesy of their strong early-season form on the secondary circuit. Joe Hunt, Jack Tweddell and Martijn Dragt once again receive the call, extending their streak to a perfect twelve from twelve events alongside the sport’s elite.

Welshman Derek Coulson returns after missing a recent opportunity in Wigan due to MODUS Super Series commitments. Since the opening quartet of events, Tommy Lishman has featured at every subsequent stop, while Aiden Kirk – who made his seasonal debut at Robin Park a fortnight ago – now doubles his tally with this upcoming brace of appearance at Arena MK. Completing the line-up of notable inclusions is recent Challenge Tour event winner Nathan Potter.
