The MODUS Super Series Double Trouble returns next week for its fifth edition. The original of what are referred to as ‘Special Weeks’, or as ‘MODUS Majors’, uses a double-start format, identical to that of the PDC World Grand Prix and as a result is a highly popular darts spectacle.
Players must begin each leg by hitting a double; any score registered before this, including a maximum 180, is recorded as no score. Twelve competitors take part.
The field for the fifth staging is very strong indeed. We have multiple WDF World Champions, major champions from more than one code of the game as well as, MSS stalwarts, current stars and recent PDC tour card holders.
Group A consists of six players who begin on Monday morning:
MODUS Super Series Darts – Double Trouble (V)
- Neil Duff (Northern Ireland’s Multiple and defending champion)
- Scott Mitchell (England)
- Robert Thornton (Scotland)
- Andreas Harrysson (Sweden)
- Steve West (England)
- Richie Burnett (Wales)
Group B, which includes players advancing from earlier action and begins later in the week, features:
- Fallon Sherrock (England)
- Simon Whitlock (Australia)
- Steve Lennon (Ireland’s former PDC Tour Card )
Group C comprises:
- Scott Campbell (Scotland)
- Richie Howson (England known as The Owl)
- Keegan Brown (England)
The MODUS Super Series returns with the latest edition of Double Trouble Week, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be confirmed in due course.
Daily play is streamed on Pluto TV with highlights and other coverage on the MODUS Super Series YouTube channel, or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
