The penultimate weekend of action in the PDC Europe Next Gen took place this weekend in Germany, as the field for the 2026 Super League begins to fill up.
Going into the weekend, the Order of Merit was led by Jaimy van de Weerd, and closely followed Daniel Klose (pictured), with a big gap between those two and Paul Krohne in third.

Event 13
The first event of the weekend took place on Sunday, with a FA-Cup style event. This meant that there would be a draw done prior to each round of the event, blocking the possibly of the players mapping out their routes to the title.
Deep runs came from underdogs Tim Scholtz and Dominic Ferrero to the Quarter-Finals, while Marc Spalt saw his way to the Semi-Finals, putting himself in the conversation for the Super League.
The Final took place between Daniel Klose and last weekend’s first time Development Tour winner Lenny Schülter, with Klose managing to get over the line with a 6-2 win.
The performance of the event came from Jaimy van de Weerd, who averaged an incredible 112.73 in a Group Stage win over Tim Langstädtler, with legs of 16, 14 and 10 darts.
Marcel Hausotter also produced a 101.9 average, as well as a 101.17 from the tournament winner Daniel Klose in the last eight.

Event 14
Sunday saw the return of the eagerly anticipated 170 event for the second time since it’s introduction in 2026, where legs will be played from 170 rather than the traditional 501.
This allowed for players to complete legs in just one visit but also meant generally lower averages due to much less time to score. The formant changes saw more runs from underdogs, with Jonathan Parvaneh reaching the Semi-Finals to move up to 21st on the Order of Merit, while Deniz Baudis moved up to a Super League qualification spot through the Youth Order of Merit with a run to the Semi-Finals himself.
The Final saw Lenny Schülter return for the second time this weekend, but he fell short again, this time to the table topper Jaimy van de Weerd, who won his second title of 2026 in his seventh final. Van de Weerd also produced an incredible 103.94 average in his 10-4 win in the Last 16 over Marcel Steinacher, something almost unthinkable in this format, where he won three legs with the 170 checkout!

The Order of Merit is as follows after the penultimate weekend of action on the PDC Europe Next Gen Tour:
The Final two events will take place next weekend, where the field for the 2026 Super League will almost set.
The top 16 from the Order of Merit will be joined by the top 4 unqualified youth players, while the final four spots will be determined by the new PDC Europe Start play-offs for the first time.
The winner of the Super League will follow in the footsteps of Arno Merk and Kai Gotthardt in qualifying for the World Championships.
