Francis Into ADC Grand Finals as Championship Tour South Champion

The ADC Winmau Championship South wrapped up its 2026 season this weekend at Bradmoor Farm, with four darts titles decided across Saturday and Sunday. The qualification picture for both the Winmau Championship Grand Finals and the ADC Global Championship are finally settled.

Callum Francis goes into the Grand Finals as South Champion, finishing 13 points clear of the field despite not being among the weekend’s individual winners. It’s a campaign that was built on less standout results at Bradmoor Farm and more on relentless week-to-week consistency, and it proved enough to hold off Archie Self, who ends the season with the best running average of anyone in the top eight at 88.36.

Four events, four winners

None of the closing weekend’s four titles went to a player from the very top of the table, which tells its own story about the depth on the South circuit this year.

Darren Brown, playing his first event of the season, made an immediate impact. An opening average of 98.25 from the last 256 set the tone, and a 90.44 average saw off Archie Self in the quarter-finals before a 5-1 semi-final win over Steve West took him into the final, where he beat Jack Drayton 5-3 for the £1,000 top prize.

Ashley Coleman took the second title of the day, needing a 5-4 semi-final win over Neil Duff before closing out a 5-1 win against Harry Lane with a tournament average of 82.60. Chas Barstow provided the standout scoring of the day regardless of the result, averaging 111.33 in a last-256 whitewash.

Drayton went one better on Sunday, surviving last-leg deciders against Liam Earwicker and Archie Self (Above) before a final-day average north of 94 saw off Michael Wiles 5-2, his first title of the season. Roger Crook capped the weekend and the season with the tightest finish of all, edging Harrison Leigh 5-4 in the Event 12 final with a nerveless 100 checkout to seal a popular home win in front of family and friends.

Final standings

Francis, Self*, Davies and Hall take the top four places and secure berths at both the Grand Finals and the ADC Global Championship, with only the top two from each region progressing to the latter. Cook, Slater, Nicholls and Barstow complete the top eight and join them at the Grand Finals only.

It was desperately close for the players outside the automatic places. Ashley Coleman’s Event Ten win lifted him to ninth on 460 points, with Roger Crook’s title-capping weekend taking him to tenth on 414. Both would have taken real encouragement from how they finished, even with qualification out of reach.

The Winmau Championship Grand Finals take place on 3-4 October at the MODUS Live Lounge in Portsmouth, where the top eight from the South will meet the same number from the North in a 16-player draw. The top four from the South, headed by Francis and *Self, will head into the ADC Global Championship, a tournament carrying a £126,000 prize fund, with £20,000 to the eventual winner.
