Dirk van Duijvenbode has been handed a late call-up to the 2026 World Series of Darts Finals after Hong Kong’s Man Lok Leung was forced to withdraw through illness.
Leung, a quarter-finalist at January’s Saudi Arabia Darts Masters, had been drawn to face Sweden’s Viktor Tingström in the opening round. The 27-year-old will now miss the event in Amsterdam, as well as next weekend’s final PDC Asian Tour fixtures and the PDC Asian Championship.

Under PDC Rule 3.7, the Dutchman replaces him as the first reserve from last month’s Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
Van Duijvenbode, a World Matchplay semi-finalist this year and runner-up at the World Series Finals in 2022, will take on Tingström on the tournament’s opening night.
The 2026 World Series of Darts Finals takes place at AFAS Live from 17-20 September, with a strong field headlined by reigning champion Michael van Gerwen and world number one Luke Littler.
World number two Luke Humphries and Dutch number one Gian van Veen are also among the leading contenders, while former champions Gerwyn Price, Jonny Clayton and James Wade will be aiming to recapture past success in the Dutch capital.
