DartsWorld is darts’ longest-running magazine, championing the sport worldwide since 1972. It has covered every level of the game, from the PDC and global tours down to the youth and amateur or grassroots ranks. The current editorial team has recently added a significant new project to their already extensive 2026 offering.
Committed to providing the most comprehensive global darts coverage anywhere, the DartsWorld team recognised that the latest boom — driven by teenage talents such as Luke Littler and Beau Greaves — has drawn a new audience and generation to the game.
THE EVOLUTION OF DARTS: DartsWorld’s Dedicated Legacy Area
Many of these fans have little or no knowledge of the sport prior to the Covid pandemic, or even later. The editorial team has therefor been working gently towards ways of celebrating and documenting the game’s evolution for some time.
Their aim is to provide enjoyable and memorable content for the players and fans who helped facilitate its growth, while also offering the new audience an accessible window into the sport’s rich heritage.
DartsWorld has been extraordinarily busy this year and is noticeably determined to ensure that its unique and long-standing position gives players and fans maximum access to the full chronicle of the modern era.
Editor-in-Chief Callum Harris-Hulme was clearly excited to comment:
“This is an important year for DartsWorld. After rescuing the magazine brand back in 2020, consolidating, and then securing vital investment from one of the game’s strongest outfits, we have begun assembling the pieces for the future.
“DW feel a unique responsibility in terms of legacy / heritage content, as we are the custodians of more than 50 years of records, results and stories from every area of the game and from across the darts world. We will be sharing covers, stories and photos from the whole spectrum, together with clips and other memorable content that only we can provide full context for…
“We have launched DartsWorld Legacy as a way to continue our long-standing pledge to ‘Champion the Sport of Darts’… and to connect with the many thousands of fans out there who have enjoyed our magazine and content over the decades.
“It’s fair to say the response has been overwhelmingly positive so far”
Currently the project features regular social media content on Instagram, X and Facebook, as well as a rapidly expanding dedicated area at dartsworld.com
In addition to the new specialised social media channels, CJ says there is plenty more to come.
“We are currently assembling a full archive, from 1972 to the present day, of both physical issues and their digitised versions. There are over 100 issues of our various publications in the digital archive, of which a large proportion are free to view. We will be adding to them regularly until it is complete with the more than 600 in total.

“The physical version is also close to completion and will soon be available for journalists and others to view by appointment. we want to celebrate all the writer and contributors as well as providing a valuable research resource”
Readers, players and fans can contact the team via the comments and direct messages with requests or queries, and the team will do their best to answer or ask a wider audience for help.
More to Come From the Darts’ Premier Publisher
DartsWorld Legacy is set to play a strong role as the magazine brand continues its modernisation, which has already seen the launch of dartsworldstore.com and expansion into areas such as event promotion, with more to come.
