Applicants for Netflix’s Beat Luke Littler have this week received confirmation of audition dates, as the streamer’s first live darts broadcast moves a step closer to its 30 October airdate.
The one-off show will see amateur players attempt to beat World Champion Luke Littler over a single leg of 501, with a £501,000 prize on offer to anyone who manages it. Netflix confirmed the project in July, produced by Workerbee, part of Banijay UK, in partnership with the PDC.
Twenty finalists will ultimately take their turn at the oche on the night, selected through open auditions being held this month.

Those auditions run in London on Saturday 12 September at Here East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and in Manchester on Saturday 19 September at Manchester Central. Applicants can attend one date only, with doors opening at 8am and queues expected to run into the afternoon.
The process itself has three stages, all competed on the same day, as hopefuls first throw a single leg of 501 against a set dart count to progress. Those who make the cut then sit down for a short interview with a producer, before a small number are put in front of a PDC judging panel for a final assessment that combines further throwing with more conversation.
Darts Not The Only Criteria?
Reaching the final stage carries no guarantee of a palace on the show, with casting decisions confirmed only once both audition days have concluded.
Entry to the auditions is open to anyone who has turned 12 by 13 October, with under-18s required to attend with a parent, guardian or approved chaperone throughout. Applicants are free to use their own darts, though Target equipment will be available on the practice and audition boards.
Coverage of the final show, and who makes it through to face Littler on the night, will follow closer to the 30 October broadcast.
