Ross “Smudger” Smith continued his strong run with a hard-fought 10–7 victory over Josh Rock. Both players produced spells of excellent scoring in an entertaining contest, but Smith’s superior finishing in the decisive stages secured his place in the last four.
The session’s biggest result for home supporters came as Gian van Veen defeated fellow Dutchman Dirk van Duijvenbode 10–8.
Van Duijvenbode pushed hard throughout, yet the younger man held his nerve in the closing legs to claim a notable scalp and underlinethe growing depth of Dutch darts.

Gerwyn Price produced a controlled performance to see off James Wade 10–7. The Iceman was the more consistent of the two, particularly on the doubles, and Wade was unable to manufacture one of his trademark late comebacks.
The standout shock arrived in the final match of the session as Jonny Clayton dismantled teenage sensation Luke Littler 10–4.
The Welshman was clinical from the outset, never allowing Littler to settle. The young star’s challenge never truly materialised, and Clayton’s dominant display booked him a semi-final berth.
