ENGLAND will be pitched against Ireland in both Europe Cup team finals, after four semi-finals were decided on tight margins.
Open Teams
England needed a comeback in the Open Teams, as they trailed Czechia 5-2. They battled back to win 9-7, with Carl Wilkinson finding double 4 to put them into the final.
Ireland were just as clinical in the other semi-final. Gerard McGlynn pinned a 14-darter to seal a 9-6 win over the Netherlands and book their place in the final later this afternoon.

Women’s Teams
Of course it had to be Cassidy. Twenty-eight years after winning the Europe Cup Women’s Singles for Northern Ireland, Denise Cassidy pinned double 4 to send the Republic of Ireland into the Women’s Teams Final, as they got the better of Finland 9-6.
Waiting for them will be England, who edged past an ever-strong Wales side 9-6. The Two sides were locked at 6-6 before the trio of Deta Hedman, Paige Pauling and Laura Turner won their final games to send England through to the showpiece event.
