Redemption for Steph Clarke and Laura Turner took just 25 minutes. The two are Europe Cup Women’s Pairs darts champions, beating Sweden’s Anna Forsmark and Snezana Vejlkovic 6-1 to give England their 11th gold in the event.
It was a far cry from a year ago, when the pair lost a last-leg decider to Japan in the World Cup Pairs final in Seoul.

This time there was no drama. England took the opening leg, Sweden hit back with a 20-dart leg to level at 1-1, and then Turner and Clarke took over, reeling off the next five. The third leg went in 17 and the sixth in 19.

England averaged 69.86 as they took gold with the first completed final of the week.
Sweden, who had beaten Finland in the semi-finals, take Silver. Finland and Denmark share the Bronze Medals.
Turner and Clarke will return to the stage later in the day as they, alongside Deta Hedman and Paige Pauling, will take on Ireland for Team Event glory, and ultimately, another gold.
