DANIEL Ayres was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 10 at the MODUS Super Series.
Ayres overcame Conor Heneghan in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Ayres, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Niek Tuik and Lee Cocks to progress through to the Semi Finals.
In the blast four he came up against Steve Lennon, and from there Ayres dispatched of ‘Scuba Steve’ 4-3 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Ayres would meet Conor Heneghan, who’d defeated Lee Cocks in the last four, and despite the Irishman having previous success in winning weekly titles at the Super Series, it was Ayres who came out on top and sealed a 4-2 victory to book his place in Champions Week as well as collecting the weekly winner’s cheque.
