Macy Gibbons and Archie Self both won 5-1 in Selsey to claim the England Classic Youth and Girls titles, with Self averaging 94.83 and Gibbons completing a clean sweep of the big UK and Ireland weekends this year.
Self hits the target
‘The Archer’ had too much firepower for Addison Hefferon in the Youth final, taking the title 5-1 in just 14 minutes with a 94.83 average.

Self set the tone in the opening leg, taking it in 13 darts with Hefferon still on 193. Hefferon responded in the second leg, with a pair of tons before taking out 71 in two darts.
It was the only one that got away. Self then took the preceding legs in 15, 17, 16 and 16 to lift the title on double eight.
Gibbons completes the darts sweep
The Girls final was a different story, but the result was the same, with Gibbons beating Elsie-Mai Tarrant 5-1 to win the England Classic Youth.
The title completes a clean sweep of the WDF Girls titles at the big UK and Ireland weekends this year (the Scottish Open, Isle of Man Classic, England Open, Welsh Open, British Open and now the England Classic).
It was tight early on. Gibbons took the opening leg on double four, before Tarrant hit back in the second with a 32 finish to level it at 1-1.
Like Hefferon, that was as good as it got for Tarrant. Gibbons took the third leg on double five, then the fourth with a 72 checkout in two darts. A 171 in the fifth leg set up a 32 finish, and Gibbons wrapped it up in the sixth, going out on double six. Gibbons averaged 65.61 in the match to Tarrant’s 55.61.
Both winners will return to the stage later in the evening as Archie Self takes on Callum Francis for the Final of the England Masters Open, whilst Gibbons faces Anca Zijlstra for England International Open glory.
