Two days, two big finals and two very different routes to the trophy. Scott Robertson came from behind to close out the Riga Open on Sunday after James Beeton claimed the Silver-ranked Latvian Open in style on Saturday.
Beeton had too much for Paul Milford in the Latvian Open final at the Bellevue Park Hotel in Riga, winning 6-2 in the best-of-11 decider with an 87.79 average and five 140s.
It was the biggest prize of the weekend, worth £1,800 to the winner and his third WDF title. With the Lakeside seedings starting to take shape, it strengthens his position.

For Milford (above), it was a bittersweet end to a good weekend. The former England international won the Bronze-ranked Latvian Masters on Friday evening, beating Sweden’s Dennis Nilsson 6-1 for his second WDF ranking title and €800.
Unfortunately for him though, Beeton denied him the double.
Beeton, the Chester thrower, is a familiar face at the business end of WDF events. He won the Scottish Open back in February, beating Ireland’s Dylan Slevin in the final, and his Lakeside debut in 2024 began with a win.
Sunday belonged to Robertson. The Scotland international won three legs on the spin to come from behind and beat Pat Scurfield 6-4 in the Riga Open final, picking up his third WDF ranking title of the year and the €800 first prize.
The Aberdeenshire player has had a strong season, having won the Denmark Masters in May with a 6-4 win over Northern Ireland’s Neil Duff. Scurfield. Who won the Northern Ireland Matchplay in March, took home €400 as runner-up.
