Red Dragon has today launched a new Gerwyn Price collection, with four new releases built around the game of the former World Champion: the RD-ULTRA, RD-Pro, RD-ADV and a set of Brass Darts.
The range builds on Price’s Originals, the dart that carried ‘The Iceman’ to his World Championship title, and brings Red Dragon’s Switch Point technology to three of the four sets, allowing players to change points without changing barrels.
The Darts themselves
RD-ULTRA
The headline set. A 90% tungsten steel-tip dart with a machined grip pattern that Red Dragon says has never been seen on a dart before. The silver detailing runs through a deep onyx and metallic blue finish, and the grip zones of the Originals are re-cut with an intricate pattern in place of the buttress.
It’s a parallel barrel with a rounded front and centre weight, available in 23g and fitted with Smooth Black Switch Points in 30mm and 40mm.
RD-PRO
Aimed at serious competitors, the RD-PRO carries the Gezzy Signature V cut with re-machined silver milling, finished in black onyx, silver and metallic blue.
Also 90% tungsten with a parallel, centre-weighted barrel, it comes in 21g, 23g and 25g with 30mm Smooth Black Switch Points.
RD-ADV
The simplest of the three Switch Point sets, with silver buttress micro-grip grooves running the full length of the barrel in place of the V cut, in silver and metallic blue. Available in 22g, 23g and 24g with 30mm Smooth Black Switch Points.
Brass Darts
A pick-up-and-play set matched to the originals, finished in charcoal etch with Price’s blue zigzag. They come ready to throw with 32mm black fixed points and TRX Black Intermediate Shafts.
