Live League: Cole makes his move

Jarred Cole and Mike Gillet took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, with new players entering the fray, looking to join Simon Stevenson in Saturday’s finale at the Online Darts Live League.

Cole, who entered Group C, having finished 4^th in Group A earlier in the week, won four of his five matches to take the early lead, as he recorded victories over Ciaran Teehan, Scott Baker, Carl Hamilton and Thibault Tricole, with his only defeat coming against Nathan Girvan.

Elsewhere, Thibault Tricole also ended the day on 8 points, but sits behind Cole on leg difference, with Nathan Girvan sitting in 3^rd on 6 points, Scott Baker in 4^th on 4 points, as Carl Hamilton and Ciaran Teehan sit 5^th and 6^th respectively on 2 points each.

In Group B, it was Mike Gillet who took the early lead, in winning three of his four matches, by recording victories over Nick Kenny, Matthew Edgar and Dan Read, with his only defeat coming against Robert Rickwood.

Elsewhere, three players in Matthew Edgar, Dan Read and Robert Rickwood all ended the night on 4 points each, with Edgar sitting in 2^nd with a higher leg difference between the trio, as Nick Kenny sits bottom on 2 points.

Online Darts Live League continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Simon Stevenson in Saturday’s finale, with Cole and Gillet taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
