Daniel Larsson secured a European Tour qualification double as the PDC Nordic & Baltic season continued in Finland last weekend.
Larsson booked his place at the Hungarian Darts Trophy (ET10) in Budapest from September 2-4, before sealing his spot at the Interwetten German Darts Open (ET11), which will be played in Jena from September 9-11.
The Swede relinquished just six legs in the opening qualifier, whitewashing Marko Kantele before overcoming his Cazoo World Cup of Darts partner Johan Engström 6-3 in the final.
The 40-year-old then repeated the feat in ETQ11, recovering from 4-1 adrift to edge out Engström in a dramatic last-leg decider.
This weekend’s action also saw two PDC Nordic & Baltic Pro Tour events take place, with Darius Labanauskas and Dennis Nilsson sharing victories.
Former World Championship quarter-finalist Labanauskas claimed the spoils in Event Three, courtesy of a 6-3 victory over Kantele on Saturday.
However, Nilsson stormed to Event Four glory with an emphatic 6-1 win over Madars Razma on Sunday, after powering past Labanauskas 6-2 in the last eight.
The next PDC Nordic & Baltic events will take place in Denmark from July 29-31, which includes two Pro Tours and a further two European Tour qualifiers – follow live on DartConnect.
